THE DIOCESE OF TRURO

Why do we use this picture?

An outline drawing of Cornwall is very familiar, but very static.

The energy and vibrancy of the Diocese of Truro is captured in the zig zag brush strokes that take the eye the length and breadth of Cornwall.

The silhouette of a Peregrine falcon roams overhead, a reference to the early celtic missionary Saints or peregrini. They roamed the western fringes of Europe spreading the gospel and converting people by the strength of their Faith and their ministry of Teaching.
